“ Awesome food and ambience with service fantastic and the manager is amazing. Love the pond, too, and live music!!! ”
“ Went to breakfast at cafe murrayhill, but for the first time, we experienced a huge wait - 45 minutes to an hour and we had somewhere to be. The host recommended we try next door at Murrayhill taphouse and let us know it's a sister company. So, we went over to check out the menu and were pleased to find they have brunch and it's a great brunch menu! Service was great, we were seated right away, food came fast and it was great! Prime rib hash was delicious. My husband got the French toast breakfast sandwich and it's a new fave. Chocolate waffle, just ok. But that's just in comparison to everything else. All in all, wonderful other option right in the same shopping center! ”
“ Food was delicious! I had the southwest salad and my husband had the French dip and had the vegetarian street corn nachos for an appetizer. I will definitely be going back for more! Service on the other hand wasn't as great. It wasn't horrible, but could have been much better. My husband made reservations and we got a text that our table was ready so we go inside and we stood there waiting for a host/hostess for a little longer than we probably should have, but no biggie. We were seated, given menus, and told our waiter would be with us in a minute. It took just over 20 minutes for the waiter to come with water. They were a little busy, but not that busy! Everyone else around us was getting service so we were starting to think they forgot about us. We were about 5 minutes from getting up and leaving when he came with the water. We went ahead and placed our order when he brought the water since we had so much time to look at the menu. We ordered an appetizer and he asked if we wanted that out first or all together with our meals. We asked for it to be brought out before our meal, he said he'd have it out soon. He came back almost right away with our drinks we ordered and pretty soon after that we were served our meals (by a different waiter) my husband told him we were supposed to have an appetizer so he said he'd would go check on it. He came back said they were still working on it and it would be out soon. A few minutes pass and they brought out our appetizer. We finished our meal (which was very good) and were waiting for the check. That's when my husband was offered a refill on his drink, as we were waiting to leave. The waiter never came back once we were given our food to see how it was, if we needed anything, other than passing by our table once and tapping on the drink menu saying if we want dessert the dessert menu is inside the drink menu. When we did interact with the waiter he was very pleasant and nice, just didn't see much of him. And when the bill came we were pleasantly surprised at the price. We had expected a higher bill, not really paying attention to the price of what we ordered but it was very reasonable. Especially for the portion sizes. It was a little loud with the music in the background and people conversing. Turning the music down a notch or two would have been ideal, but again, not that big of a deal. I'm hoping the mediocre service is not the norm because their food really is good and their prices are decent. And for that reason I will be going back. I just hope the service is better next time. ”
“ Whenever I am dogsitting in the Progress Ridge area, I reach out to a friend in the area to see if she wants to go to lunch. I ask her where she wants to go, and she almost always says Murrayhill Taphouse! I arrived first, I asked for a booth and was promptly seated and asked if I wanted a drink while I waited. I got an iced tea. Since I arrived before my friend, I asked a couple questions about the menu. I also asked if the booth didn't work for my friend if we could move to a table more accommodating, my only request is that I could have a seat with padding. Most of the chairs at tables looked like hard wood seats. It did look like a few chairs were padded and the waiter said he was sure he could produce a padded chair if that situation arise. My friend arrived and said the booth was fine. I ended up getting the Spinach & Farro salad. marinated pickled onions, fennel, sliced strawberry, spiced pumpkin seeds, goat cheese, fresh mint, lemon dijon vinaigrette. I asked if the vinaigrette had dairy, was told no. I asked that the goat cheese be omitted, which it was. It was a pretty good salad! My friend got the Three Meats Pizza Board. She asked if there were any veggies on it, it does not come with veggies. She asked if they could put onions and garlic, and they were accommodating. The restaurant has a nice view of the man-made lake, and we could see a fireplace that added to the ambiance. Will was an attentive waiter. He checked on us many times. My friend ordered a wine, and when it arrived, it was a red wine. She was surprised, thought she ordered a white wine. She couldn't remember if she said Blanc after Sauvignon. But he promptly replaced the wine with Blanc. It was a fun experience with my friend! Definitely would come back in the future! ”
“ Had a great breakfast at M.T. It was an even better experience having Ami as my server. She was friendly, helpful, and extremely on top of it. Most times she brought things to me before I was even aware I needed them. She was really tuned into what the customer needed or wanted. I would recommend the breakfast menu to anyone. Thanks, Jim. ”
“ Murrayhill Taphouse has been a fun place to gather. Nice clean interior, friendly front end staff, and service staff. Their menu accommodates all kinds of dietary needs. Their prices are on par with other places in the area. They have a nice selection of beer on tap, and well drinks. Their service has been consistent and accommodating. If you've never been, it's a great place to try. ”
“ Me and my girlfriend have been coming here since opening day and it has always been one of our favorite spots to eat since. The service is phenomenal, including Saj, one of the bartenders, who is always so friendly, and kind and we're always looking forward to the conversations we have with him. Never a dull moment at the bar top, he takes excellent care of us. The food never disappoints, always delicious and the rotating seasonal stuff is usually pretty solid as well. Love the atmosphere of the place, there's a beautiful fountain outside in the big pond off murray Blvd that can be seen from just about anywhere in the restaurant, patio seating is great and has heaters for the colder days. Overall it is always a wonderful experience everytime we're in! ”
“ Dinner with wife and In-laws while son is taking in the Hops Game. Ok so I find out that this restaurant is directly across the street from Planet Fitness. The restaurant is set a pretty peaceful location considering all the traffic around it. There is a nice fountain set in the middle of a man made (guessing) lake, and there is outdoor seating overlooking it. When we arrived my in-laws had already acquired a table, but upon sitting down I heard that there was some drama between the manager and the front end help. Apparently decisions were made without approval. I also heard that apparently a large party just decided to sit themselves in the back room (how rude). Anyway after all the juicy gossip, I looked at the menu. It wasn't very interesting to me. I was thinking about a chicken strip dinner. This is usually available at family restaurants, but for some reason it was only on the "Kids menu". I was advised that there wasn't an age limit to go order off of it. Wasn't exactly what I was going for, but I took it under advisement. After looking over and over the menu, I finally decided on the kids fish and chips. Apparently I missed the "adult" version on the menu and just assumed it wasn't offered as well. Honestly it was only $10, i think the adult version was $18. Not having coleslaw wasn't a deal breaker and the two piece portion was enough. My wife thought the spicy salad was very spicy, my FIL got the spicy burger, my MOL got the steak frites, and surprisingly my daughter got the summer salad and made a pretty good dent in it. I kinda liked the fries. Kinda a cross between steak fries and curly fries. Definitely quite easy for ketchup to land on. My fish was good. Fried well and not oily. This isn't a restaurant that i would ask to go to, but it was ok. George was very nice. He took his job of keeping our water filled up very seriously. ”
“ I recently visited murrayhill taphouse that offered a mix of highs and lows. The fried chicken sandwich was excellent, and their selection of 27 taps was impressive. The burger was tasty, and the Caesar salad with added chicken met our expectations, being fresh, crispy, and flavorful. However, the salmon was slightly overcooked, making it just okay. The sidewinder fries were more like jojos, which wasn't my preference for a classic fry. Additionally, the booth was uncomfortable for our group of four. On the positive side, the service was professional and friendly, and the atmosphere was stunning with great views of the water, fountains, and patio fire pit. ”
“ The outdoor patio here was awesome and perfect for date night. Right next to a pond with a beautiful willow tree across the way and lots of amazing fire pits. I would definitely come back for the *vibez* alone. With fun shareables, this place would be great to come with a group! The happy hour has great items on it for a great price as well. Only available in the bar. 〰SPICY BURGER / HAND BREADED ONION RINGS The spicy burger was good, but I felt could have used a little bit more sauce. It was definitely spicy which I loved. It comes with pickled jalapeños and I was surprised there were pickled carrots on it as well. Definitely tasted like it had a traditional Mexican flare. We subbed out the fries for their onion rings to try and they were good! Their chipotle bbq is interesting and their ranch is pretty good but I would be inclined to try other sauces from them next time. These were the star of the show for me. DRANKS *Baumans Peach Raspberry - absolutely delicious cider and one of my new faves. 6.4% *Rueben's hazelicious - DELISH. 6.0% Their drink options are where they shine and I am looking forward to trying more fun ones and for their new location in Lake Oswego! ”
